Life Coaching is delivered during weekly telephone sessions (over a period of four or more weeks). You set the agenda, and decide what issue to focus on. Using a proven process of effective questioning, your coach guides you to find the answers. Coaches don’t give advice – they know their clients have the answers within them.
Angela believes that the combination of laughter and efficient business systems (both at home and at work), helps us “maintain the balance and retain the fun”, as we manage our daily lives. Her business name, Lift Off Coaching, reflects this view, and was inspired by her LCA research report, “The Life Lift-Off Spiral”.
She says, “I have such fun coaching my clients – there is a lot of laughter along the way, and I gain enormous satisfaction from seeing clients “lifting off” and achieving what they really want in their lives. The coaching process is extremely effective … it’s amazing, in fact! To reap the benefits of life coaching, all you need is a desire to take full ownership of your life, and the commitment to do what it takes. You know you can do it, and so do I!” Angela’s Background
Born in Perth, Angela moved to Melbourne after graduating from The University of Western Australia. She has lived in Melbourne ever since. Having run her own architectural information consultancy for ten years, she has experience in small business as well as the corporate world, where she spent nine years in a variety of roles, including facilitating workshops, managing a client satisfaction feedback programme for six shared service business units, and having plenty of fun coordinating extra-curricular Christmas music events. Angela's passions are family, literature and language, art and architecture, playing piano, speaking French and Italian, learning the cello, and life coaching, in which she can use all her skills and talents. She is married and has two children. Angela came to coaching following a “long service leave break”, during which she worked through Richard Bolle’s career manual, “What color is your parachute?”. She realised that what she most wanted to do was inspire people to create the life they want. A week after this discovery (having never heard of life coaching!), The Life Coaching Academy’s newspaper advertisement launched her on her coaching career. Angela established her life coaching practice in 2002.
Margie Chellew, Victoria, Australia:
“I found you warm and easy to talk to. I’d wondered how speaking about my concerns over the phone to a stranger would be, but it was like you were in the room.” Name withheld at client’s request: “I found the way you worked extremely good for me. I was ‘stuck’, and since our sessions, I’ve completely turned my life around – I feel ‘free’, despite quite limiting circumstances … I found you thoughtful, considerate, supportive and provoking! Thanks so much, Angela.” Frances Brewer, Western Australia: “Angela was direct and assertive in guiding me to definite answers and decisions. She helped me search within myself for all the answers. She helped me visualise the outcome now. I felt motivated to get on and do what I said I’d do. … Even over the phone I knew that Angela was there for me, really listening and asking the right questions. ... I feel like I have launched myself, thanks to Angela. She had the push I needed to get me started on my dream. I highly recommend her as a positive, assertive, wise woman with a great sense of humour!”
